Crafting Stories in Silver

The Wild Sunflower SILVER Journey

Hi, I’m April!

Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, I love spending time with my family and friends, and I’m passionate about fitness, serving at my church, camping, and being in nature.

Starting my own business has always been a dream of mine, but I didn’t pursue it for a while due to timing and uncertainty about the right path. After my grandparents passed away, I felt a strong pull to follow my dream. Their way of life showing love to others and doing what made them happy has always inspired me.

One day, while going through my grandparents’ belongings, I discovered some beautiful jewelry pieces, including a brooch and an earring that sparkled and shined (pictured below). These jewels reminded me of my grandparents and ignited my interest in jewelry making.

I took my first silversmithing class at my local City Arts building, and I was hooked from the start. To expand my knowledge and start my own business, I enrolled in online jewelry making courses. It took some time, but I finally found my signature style bold Art Deco patterns and jewel tone color combinations. Sterling silver became my material of choice due to its timeless beauty and affordability.

I began learning lost wax casting in November 2024, and since then I’ve curated a growing collection of pieces crafted with this ancient technique. Each one is now available for you to explore in my shop! I invite you to check out the video from my little casting corner below. You can see more videos on my YouTube channel as well.

Now, I run my business from a home studio with constant support and encouragement from my family. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting my small business. Happy shopping!
